PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running controller for vehicles which is more practical and suitable when vehicles which can move automatically and can run in a single file are operated on schedule. SOLUTION: A running controller is provided with vehicles 20 which can run while forming a platoon, a route having the exclusive route R1 of the vehicles 20, and a host system 30 which sets the initial schedule of the vehicles 20 on the route under such a condition that the time density of the schedule becomes the highest in a prescribed section on the route and operates the platoon based on the set initial schedule.
