PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly cope with a connection and control of several battery packs. SOLUTION: A power supply unit for several battery packs is constructed by connecting several battery packs 1 to 4 in series/parallel. The several battery packs 1 to 4 enclose a plurality of charge type cells and a circuit for detecting a charge/discharge condition and for controlling charging/discharging, and the one of them is connected as a master battery pack 1 and the others are connected as slave battery packs 2 to 4. In the master battery pack 1, transmission of a data showing a charge/discharge condition is demanded to the slave battery packs 2 to 4 by means of communication, monitoring is performed, a charge/ discharge condition is judged to transmit a command, and then charging/ discharging is controlled. In the slave battery packs 2 to 4, the data showing the charge/discharge condition is transmitted corresponding to the data demand, and the command is received to perform the charging/discharging. |
