EARPHONE JACK WATERPROOF STRUCTURE FOR PORTABLE RADIO MACHINE AND ITS WATER PROOF METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively take the waterproof measure of an earphone jack and to secure the quality reliability of a radio function by blocking a leaking part where water intruded into the earphone jack leaks with a blocking member. SOLUTION: When the installation of a waterproof cap 48 to a hole part 46 is forgotten, water (rainwater) intruded from the hole part 46 intrudes into an earphone jack 3 through a plug insertion hole part 31 being the inner hole part of a bolt member 5. In the earphone jack 3, an opening part 30 is completely blocked by an earphone jack sheet 34 and the joint of the earphone jack 3 and a printed board 32 is completely blocked by adhesive. Thus, the water intruded into the earphone 3 is prevented from leaking outside and it is prevented from touching a main printed board 38 and electronic parts mounted on the substrate 38 with the water leaking outside. Thus, the quality reliability of a radio function can be secured and the machine can be used even on a rainy day.
