PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pellet for nuclear fusion that can easily cause a nuclear fusion reaction. SOLUTION: The fuel pellet for nuclear fusion is provided with fullerene 1 and a fine-powdered hydride 2 that is made of heavy hydrogen and metal (or alloy), and is obtained by dispersing the fullerene 1 and the hydride 2 into the heavy hydrogen and freezing and hardening them. The fullerene is either C60 or B60, and the metal (or alloy) is one being selected from a group consisting of lithium, titanium, palladium, and a platinum-palladium alloy.
