[Also in Group XXII] A reversible slider for sliding clasp-fasteners comprises a pair of guide wings 10, 20 hinged together at 16, the wing 10 having a male ear with an aperture 17 extending between a pair of spaced female ears 23 of the wing 20, each ear 23 having an elongated recess 26 aligned with the aperture 17 ; a V-shaped pull tab 40, Fig. 5, having a pair of inwardly projecting pins 44 is assembled on the slider by spreading apart the pins 44 by engagement with a wedge end 18 of the male ear and pushing the pins through the recesses 26 and into the aperture 17, the ends 29 of the recesses being then crimped over to retain the pins therein. The pins 44 normally hold the wings parallel to each other but the latter may be released to pivot about their hinge 16 by reversing the pull tab, Fig. 4, whereby a pair of abutments 43 thereon engage cam surfaces 28 thereby causing the pins 44 to be withdrawn from the aperture 17.
