Reducing textile deposits from aluminosilicate-containing spray-dried detergents, by incorporating caustic alkalis as neutralizing agents

Use of caustic alkalis in reducing textile deposits from spray-dried powdery-to-granular detergents containing aluminosilicates, the ratio (neutralized acid precursors) : (caustic alkalis) being 12-20 : 1 and the caustic alkalis being used in an excess of /-1% based on the wt. of the spray-dried material. Independent claims are also included for: (i) spray-dried powdery-to-granular detergents (or their components) containing aluminosilicates which are such that: (a) the ratio (neutralized acid precursors) : (caustic alkalis) is 12-20 : 1; and (b) the caustic alkalis are used in an excess of /-1% based on the wt. of the spray-dried material; and (ii) production of the detergents by neutralizing the acid components in the aqueous dispersion with caustic alkali at a mol. ratio (caustic alkali) : (acid components) of less than 2 : 1 and optionally adding caustic alkali to reach the ratio in (i) above and also the excess in (ii) above.
