The signal light has a light housing (2) and a transparent light body (3) connected to the housing (2). The light body (3) surrounds a light source which can be connected to an electric current source. The light source is formed of at least one light emitting diode (5). One terminal (5') of the LED (5) is electrically connected to the circumferential surface (7') of a cylindrical lamp base (7). The other terminal (5") is connected to a middle contact (9) of the lamp base (7). The lamp base (7) is replaceably fitted into a lamp socket, formed in the light body (3), by means of a bayonet fitting. The light preferably has two LEDs (5) electrically connected with the same axis to the lamp base (2) to radiate in opposite directions. To equalise the supply voltage, the LEDs (5) may be connected in series with an electric resistance (6). |
