A method for inputting simplify Chinese character and the original complex form of a simplified Chinese character on a computer keyboard is disclosed, in which the used codes are of 17 kinds each of which represents a part of structure of a Chinese character, said codes are as indicated above. Said simplify Chinese character and the original complex formed of a simplified Chinese character may be inputted rapidly by using 1-6 codes of the 17 codes according to coding and fetching rule of the invention. The method is easy to learn and to use by common peoples and has a lower character repetition ratio, and also is in accordance with the standard of the Chinese character. Each of 2th level of simplify chinese character and the original complex formed of a simplified Chinese character and the combinations of simplify Chinese character and the original complex formed of a simplified Chinese character in GBK set can be inputted by the method.
