There is provided a device for monitoring sterilization with plasma comprisi ng at least one layer of polymer, having incorporated therein an indicator capable of undergoing at least one color change, an activator for the indicator. Wherein said activator is contacted with said plasma, it undergoe s a reaction with it to produce a product which causes the indicator to underg o a color changer. There is further provided a process for making this device and for using it.
