Compounds useful in treating and preventing hyperlipemia and arterioscleroti c diseases which have an effect of inhibiting the biosynthesis of triglyceride s in the liver and an effect of inhibiting the secretion of apolipoprotein B- containing lipoproteins from the liver (the latter effect being particularly excellent), without showing the side effect of fat accumulation in the liver . In general formula (I), R1 and R2 represent each alkyl, alkoxy, etc.; R3 and R4 represent each hydrogen, alkyl, etc.; or R2 and R3 may be bonded to each other to form -(CH2)m-, -N=CH-, ect.; A, D, E and G represent each C, or one of A, D, E and G represents N and the remainders represent C; Q represents N or C; Y represents a group represented by general formula (II) (wherein X represents hydrogen, -C(=O) N (R5) R6, etc; R8 represents nil or a bond, O, etc.; and R9 and R10 represent each hydrogen, alkyl, etc.); and Z represents - (CH2)n-, etc.
