XANTHAN VISCOSIFIED COMPOSITIONS AND PREPARATION THEREOF

A xanthan gum viscosifier having enhanced hydration and dispersibility properties and xanthan viscosified compositions demonstrating improved therm al stability with retained low shear rate viscosity, is disclosed. Also disclos ed is a process for improving the thermal stability and low shear rate viscosit y of viscosified compositions and a process for the preparation of divalent cation-containing xanthan viscosified compositions using low shear mixing.
