The invention relates to a method of operating a motor vehicle (1) that is provided with an internal combustion engine (2) and at least one electric motor (3). The inventive method provides a normal operating state and a move-up operating state. In the normal operating state, the motor vehicle (1) is driven by the internal combustion engine (2). In the move-up operating state, the motor vehicle (1) is driven by the electric motor (3) provided that the internal combustion engine (2) is inactivated and the wheel drive of the motor vehicle (1) is decoupled from the internal combustion engine. Said move-up operating state is activated by means of a control element (4). It can only be activated at speeds of the motor vehicle (1) lower than 30 km/h. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle (1) for carrying out said method. |
