PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely reduce poisoning of respective electrode carrying catalysts by an eluting metallic ion by constituting a separator of ferrite stainless steel including C, Mn, S, V, Ni, Al, Si, P, N, Cu, Cr and Mo having the specific composition. SOLUTION: Ferrite stainless steel for constituting a separator has the following composition. Respective component elements of C not more than 0.012%, Si of 0.01 to 0.6%, Mn of 0.01 to 0.6%, P not more than 0.026%, S not more than 0.004%, N not more than 0.02%, V of 0.2%, Cu of 0.01 to 0.8%, Ni of 0.2 to 6%, Cr of 10.5 to 35%, Al of 0.001 to 0.2% and Mo of 0 to 6% are included in wt.%. The content of C, N, Cr and Mo falls within a range for satisfying the following two relationships. (C+N<=0.03% and 10.5%<=Cr+3Mo<=43%) are realized, and here, respective atomic symbols show the content (wt.%) of the elements. |
