PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a housing for an electronic apparatus, in which erroneous operation and breakdown of an electronic device are eliminated by providing a conductive operating section which is operated by an operator for at least one of first and second members. SOLUTION: The housing for electronic apparatus comprises a first member, i.e., the body chassis of a document image reader, and a second member, i.e., an operating section 4 of an apparatus. The operating section 4 is provided with an open/close operating section. i.e., conductive hand hook parts 4a, 4b grounded through conduction with the frame ground. Even if a user himself is charged, static electricity is discharged to the hand hook parts 4a, 4b until the charges on the user become substantially equivalent to those of the apparatus, this operations and breakdowns of a contact sensor can be prevented. |
