PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a complete random number that does not have any periodicity. SOLUTION: First and second parametron oscillators 11 and 12 in which thermal noise existing in a circuit when started decides the phase of an oscillation signal to be a 0 phase or a π phase are provided, the 1st oscillator 11 is continuously driven, and the 2nd oscillator 12 is driven intermittently while a switch 17 is turned on/off in synchronization with a clock signal. A differential amplifier 20 takes the differentiation of the oscillation signals of the 1st and 2nd oscillators 11 and 12 and makes them pass through a lowpass filter 21. Further, a random number generation circuit 22 detects the amplitude of a signal detected by a detection circuit with in synchronization with a clock signal and allocates it to a binary number '0' or '1'. |
