PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric element having at least one curved surface among its constituent surfaces and a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric module. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing thermoelectric module includes a step of arranging a core material 2 at the center of a cylindrical billet 1, a step of filling up the space between the billet 1 and core material 2 with thermoelectric materials 4 and 5, and a step of extruding the billet 1 together with the core material 2 and thermoelectric materials 4 and 5. The method also includes a step of cutting the extruded body 6 into pieces along planes perpendicular to the extruding direction, and a step of assembling the module by annularly arranging thermoelectric elements 8 and 9 composed of the cut pieces of the extruded body 6 in a cylindrical case.
