The method involves using a mould. A core (3) of the stone (1) is formed from a first concrete composition. A top layer (2) of a second concrete compensation is formed on the core. The concrete is pressed using a stamp guided in the mould chamber. A separation device formed from planar material, e.g. plastics film, is used when pressing the stamp onto the second concrete composition.
