The liquid level indicator (1) has a float (5) coupled to a measuring device provided by a digital length measuring sensor (6) with an axially sliding measuring bolt (62), fitting into a conical funnel (53) attached to the float at its free end. The length measuring device can be contained within an inverted bell (10) provided with a cage (15) for enclosing the float at its bottom end.
