Reagent container adapted for a sample analyser

The reagent bottle (1) has a vent opening (5) and a discharge opening (4) sealed by a resilient bung (6), covered by a protective foil (14). The openings are penetrated respectively by extraction and venting elements (8,13) upon insertion of the reagent bottle in the analyser, with a recess in the protective foil for facilitating its penetration. Pref. the resilient bung has a section of reduced thickness in alignment with the recess in the protective foil, enclosed by a conical sealing surface.
