摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge sludge in a high concentration collected in a sludge discharge pit by a raking machine by installing a cover plate, which is a porous plate, in the sludge discharge pit into which precipitated sludge is raked and forming a sludge discharge port for taking out sludge under the cover plate. SOLUTION: In the sedimentation basin 20, the sludge discharge pit 21 is installed in one side of the bottom and the raking machine 23 for raking the sludge 22 toward the sludge discharge pit 21 is also installed and the collected sludge 22 is taken out of the sludge discharge port 24 formed in the bottom part of the sludge discharge pit 21 through a sludge discharge valve 25. The upper part opening of the sludge discharge pit 21 is covered with a cover plate 26, which is a porous plate of such as a punched metal or the like, and the sludge 22 scraped by the scraping apparatus 23 is gathered on the cover plate 26. After that, the sludge discharge valve 25 is opened and the sludge on the cover plate 26 is made to flow down to the sludge discharge pit 21 through the small holes of the cover plate 26 and taken out of the sludge discharge port 24. Consequently, water channel formation in the accumulated sludge 22 can be prevented and the sludge 22 in a high concentration can efficiently be taken out.
