PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a feed for pisciculture effective for decreasing the death of culture fish, maintaining and promoting the health, improving the body color and meat quality of the cultured fish and improving the breeding efficiency by including kale cake. SOLUTION: The objective feed contains kale cake which is a production residue of 'green juice' obtained by pressing and squeezing a vegetable of the family Brassicaceae such as tree kale. The culture fish to be fed with the feed is young yellowtail, amberjack, red sea-bream, striped jack, bastard halibut, tiger puffer, sweet fish, eel, rainbow trout, carp, etc. The addition amount depends upon the state of the kale cake and the form of the feed and is, for example, (i) 5-20 wt.% based on the air-dried feed (water content: 7-12%) in the case of adding dried kale cake, (ii) 5-20 wt.% in the case of adding non-dried kale cake to a formulated composition of moist pellet and (iii) 1-5 wt.% in the case of adding dried kale cake to a formulated composition of moist pellet. |
