PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a good norbornene polymer molding free of curing defects without being affected by the environment at a relatively low equipment cost by spraying a polymerizable composition containing a norborneene monomer and a ruthenium complex catalyst on a substrate and polymerizing the composition. SOLUTION: A ruthenium-carbene complex catalyst of formula I or a ruthenium-vinylidene complex catalyst of formula II is used. In the formulas, R1 and R2 are each H, alkenyl, alkyl, aryl, carboxylate, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, aryloxy, alkoxycarbonyl or (substituted)alkylthio; X1 to X4 are each an anionic ligand; L1 to L4 are each a neutral electron donor provided two or three groups among X and L groups may combine with each other to form a multidentate chelated ligand; and R3 and R4 are each the same as R1 or R2 or are each a ferrocene derivative. Dicyclopentadiene is the most favorable as the nobornene monomer.
