PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject bleaching preparation controlling melanization by ultraviolet damage, promoting discharge of melanin pigment, especially exhibiting excellent bleaching effect by including yeast essence or a fungus culture product and an extract of wheat embryo bud. SOLUTION: This bleaching preparation contains (A) a yeast essence or a fungus cultured substance containing the essence and (B) an extract of wheat embryo bud. Preferably the cosmetic contains 0.001-20 wt.% calculated as a solid content of the component A and 0.0001-10 wt.% of the component B. For example, a cultured product of lactic bacteria (e.g. Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus bulugarius, Streptococcus lactis, etc.), cultured in a medium containing a yeast essence, a cultured product of a mushroom microbial cell [e.g. Lentinus edodes, Pleurotus ostreatus, etc.], etc., may be cited as the component A. A substance obtained by extracting wheat embryo bud with water, concentrating and filtering can be used as the composition B.
