PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover mounting structure of a webbing winding device which is easy to assemble and prevents generation of abnormal noises. SOLUTION: A power spring 14 for winding webbing is held by a cover mount 18 and a cover 20. Insertion of the engaging pawl 30 of the cover 20 into a hole part 24 in the cover mount 18 causes the pawl 28 of a bent member 26 constituting the hole part 24 to enter into a hole part 32 in the engaging pawl 30 so that the engaging pawl 30 is locked by the pawl 28; that is, the cover 20 can be easily secured to the cover mount 18. Moreover, the engaging pawl 30 has elasticity and is normally energized in the direction of slipoff by its own restoring force, so that the cover 20 will not play (cause abnormal noises).
