PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film lens complying with requirements for a high definition lens by controlling a molding roll for forming a first or a second lens based on a signal from a first and a second detection part and molding the first and the second lens according to the control signal. SOLUTION: The control in an X direction is performed in such a manner that a distance d0 between a first sensor 41 and the surface of a molding roll 3 is established and a distance d1 between a second sensor 42 and the surface of the molding roll 3 is made to coincide with the specified value d0. In this state, two position registering marks 6 formed on both ends of the molding roll 3 are detected using mark detection sensors SN1, SN2. Further, timing for detecting a horizontal line is detected using the mark detection sensors SN1, SN2 and at the same time, the control in a Z direction is performed using a position control mechanism for the molding roll 3 so that a lag in the timing for detecting the horizontal line is adjusted to 0. Consequently, a first and a second lens on both faces of the film are formed with the help of the first and the second molding rolls 3.
