PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction switching valve control apparatus which can prevent jerking by executing delay processing to an operating signal only on a required occasion in a simple constitution, and can improve the responsiveness of regular work to prevent degradation of the working efficiency. SOLUTION: A direction switching valve control apparatus 2 comprises an operating lever device 10, a controller 11, and solenoid proportional valves 12a, 12b. The controller 11 includes an FFT analyzing block and a determining block. The FFT analyzing block inputs an operating signal, and analyzes a waveform of the operating signal through the FFT, to thereby obtain a repetition period and an amplitude of the waveform. The determining block determines whether or not the analyzed repetition period falls within a predetermined range with respect to a repetition period corresponding to a natural frequency of a machine body of a hydraulic shovel and the operator, and determines whether or not the amplitude is larger than a predetermined amplitude. Only if the answer to the question is affirmative (Yes), a time constant arithmetic block, a time constant setting block, and a delay processing block of the controller execute delay processing to the operating signal so as to attenuate oscillations.
