EASILY TEARABLE STRETCHED LAMINATED FILM AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretched laminated film which shows high heat sealing properties and superb linear tear properties in the longitudinal and the transverse direction as well as a method for manufacturing this film. SOLUTION: This easily tearable stretched laminated film is a uniaxial stretched laminated film consisting of at least two layers or more comprising an ionomer layer of an ethylene.unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer and a polyolefin layer, and shows the tear strength Tel in the stretch direction obtained by the Elmendorf tear strength method being of a higher value than the tear strength Ttr in a perpendicular direction with the stretch direction by 30 N/cm or more. Further, the film has linear tear properties in the perpendicular direction with the stretch direction. The stretched laminated film is manufactured by uniaxially stretching a coextruded film consisting of the ionomer layer and the polyolefin layer at a temperature below the melting point of a polyolefin.
