PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant stably for a long time and to avoid contamination of the environment and molded articles, by abutting a lubricant providing member obtd. by molding a lubricant-contg. polymer, onto a sliding surface of a movable part where supply of a lubricant is needed. SOLUTION: A mold clamping apparatus 301 comprises a lubricant supplying structural member 311 which is an integrally molded article of a lubricant-contg. polymer block and mounted on a slider 20 with screws, the slider 20 being fixed on the lower end of a movable platen 117, and comprises a sleeve of a structural member inserted in the screw-fixed position for a deformation preventing purpose. The inside of the lubricant supplying structural member 311 is formed so that the member roughly has a C-shaped cross-section which coincides with the convex protrusion of a guide rail 10 on which the slider 20 slides. The outer peripheral of the structural member 311 is grooved so that a metallic strip spring 330 is engaged in the groove in order to apply a force to both of the sleeve parts in the direction toward the side of the guide rail 10. A lubricant exudes from the inside of both sleeve parts of the structural member 311 and lubricates the friction surface of the guide rail 10. Accordingly, the lubricant is supplied stably for a long time, without contaminating the environment and molded articles.
