PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform the polishing heat treatment of the surface of a cable. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a transparent vinyl chloride coated cable, the surface of the cable 7 is indirectly heated and melted by the radiant heat emitted from two infrared gas burners 11, 13 arranged in opposed relationship in a polishing heating process B between an extrusion coating process A performing the extrusion coating of the cable 7 with an outer skin 1 comprising transparent PVC and a cooling process C for cooling the outer skin 1 to remove the fine unevenness on the surface of the cable 7.
