PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make surely extinguishable a fire in its early stage even if the fire breaks out at any place in a room by spraying a fire extinguishing liquid from fire extinguishing liquid spray heads of a partition spray area section and adjacent partition spray area sections when a fire sensing sensor arranged in one partition spray area section senses a fire. SOLUTION: A planar rectangular room 1 is divided in four by virtual lines to form four partition spray area sections 1a-1d, and fire sensing sensors 2 (2a-2d) and fire extinguishing liquid spray heads 4 (4a-4d) are arranged in the partition spray area sections 1a-1d. The fire sensing sensors 2 are arranged nearly at the center sections of the ceiling lower faces of the partition spray area sections 1a-1d, and the spray heads 4 are arranged at the corner sections of the partition spray area sections 1a-1d around the luminaires arranged at the intersections of the partition spray area sections 1a-1d. When the fire sensing sensor 2a senses a fire, for example, a fire extinguishing liquid is sprayed from the spray heads 4 of the partition spray area section 1a and the adjacent partition spray area sections 1b, 1d to extinguish the fire.
