PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer having a definite and precise systolic blood pressure determination method in principle with less burden on patients. SOLUTION: A sphygmomanometer has a means of blood pressure determination to measure systolic blood pressure using information of detected plural peaks wherein vibration peaks are detected from vibration signals captured by cuff 12 for measurement with: cuff 11 for pressure pressing a patient's artery; cuff 12 for measurement set in the inside of cuff 11 for pressure and for detecting vibration of an arterial wall by arterial pulse accompanying changes of cuff pressure being in adherence to the measured site; and pressure sensor 16 measuring pressure of cuff 12 for measurement.
