PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a die for a weather strip of an automobile by which a central core for forming a hollow sealing part is fixed by a simple method without marring an appearance in particular. SOLUTION: In the case of die-forming a hollow sealing part 9 of the weather strip for the automobile, which is equipped with a fitting base part 1 being fitted to the upper end part of the front edge of a side glass RG on the rear side and having a nearly U-shaped section, with an extended part 2 integrally formed in the fitting base part 1 so as to extend toward the front side from the inside of a car in the fitting base part 1, with the hollow sealing part 9 which is formed between the fitting base part 1 and the extended part 2 and is elastically touched to the inside of the car of a vertically moved side glass FG on the front side, and with a core material 5 buried in the fitting base part 1 and the extended part 2, the upper end part of the core material 5 is projected in a part 20 from the fitting base part 1 to the inside of the hollow sealing part 9 and also a groove 18 is formed in a center core 11 for forming a hollow part and the groove 18 is engaged with the projected part 20 of the core material 5. |
