<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate supporting device having a lock mechanism stably- locking a stopper in a standing condition. SOLUTION: This is provided with a gate and a center pillar 3 pivoted to an under carriage 1, a coupling device 6 for the gate 2 and the center pillar 3, a stopper 4 pivoted to the center pillar 3 for supporting the center pillar 3 in a standing condition, and a mechanism engaged with a hook 23 on the under carriage 1 for locking the stopper 4 in a standing condition. The lock mechanism includes an oscillating arm 32 pivoted on a bracket 7, a handle 34 whose one end is pivoted on an arm 32, engaging arms 37, 20 sliding in the stopper 4 for disengagement from the hook 23 when disengaged from other end of the handle 34, a coil spring 22 energizing the arms 37, 20 in the direction of disengagement from the hook 23, and a coil spring 35 placed between the arm 32 and the one end of the handle 34 and applying energization force in the direction of disengagement of the handle 34 from the arms 37, 20 when the handle 34 is operated to the prescribed position.</p> |
