<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head, and a printer employing it, suitable for size reduction in which light can be shielded easily and surely between adjacent light sources regardless of the number of light sources. SOLUTION: The optical head being employed in a printer comprises a printed board 50 mounted, on the surface 55 thereof, with a plurality of light sources S at an interval, and a thick planar body 70 arranged to abut, on one major surface 74 thereof, abuts against the light source mounting face 55 of the board 50 and provided with recesses H for containing respective light sources S. The recess H comprises a through hole and an opening plate 80 having a small hole A for defining an opening for restricting the light from the light source at a position corresponding to the through hole H may be disposed on the other major surface 75 of the planar body, 70 while abutting thereon, or each recess in the planar body comprises a bottomed hole and each hole may be provided, in the bottom thereof, with a small hole for defining an opening for restricting the light from the light source.</p> |
