PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a polyolefin wherein an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid of high quality is safely grafted without use of a hazadous organic solvent. SOLUTION: 100 pts.wt. of an olefin polymer component (a) wherein a 8 mesh-on component of high quality is present in an amount of 10 wt.% or below when a particle size thereof is measured according to ASTM (D-1291-63), 0.1 to 3.0 pts.wt. of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative (b), and 0.01 to 0.5 pts.wt. of a free-radical initiator (c) are reacted by melting and kneading in a twin-screw extruder. |
