PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress inclination of a fixed platen in a clamping mechanism of an injection molding machine. SOLUTION: In a clamping mechanism of an injection molding machine on the base frame 3 of which a fixed platen 4 is provided, a rib 10 is provided on the lower part of the face on the nozzle touch side of the fixed platen 4 and a support 30 provided on the base frame 3 is connected with the rib 10 to support the fixed platen 4 by this connection. Against stress generated by fitting the mold in the direction wherein the fixed platen 4 is inclined to the movable platen side, a clamping mechanism is constituted in such a way that an acting force balancing this stress is applied on the fixed platen 4 to suppress the inclination of the fixed platen 4.
