PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the indication of erroneous recognition results to perform sure input operation when inputting address information by an operator and to realize classifying treatment of high accuracy in VCD as a result. SOLUTION: When at least some address information cannot be recognized, reliability corresponding to the part not recognized is calculated to select information of the part of high reliability only of information of the part recognized by a recognizing part 18, and the recognized characters of high reliability and of little possibility of erroneous recognition are only indicated without indicating the recognized characters of low reliability.
