PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the production efficiency by enabling even an unskilled worker to attach a filter material and a plate body in a short time to be performed without generating irregularity in quality. SOLUTION: In the water purifying filter, a connection rod 15 is integrally connected to the central part of a first plate body 8 and a cylindrical member 17 having an externally threaded part 16 formed to the outer peripheral surface thereof is integrally connected to the leading end of the connection rod 15. The internally threaded part 18 threaded with the externally threaded part 16 is formed to the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical part 13 of a second plate member 9 and the connection rod 15 is inserted in a porous core 6 to connect the second plate body 9 by screw parts 18, 19. By this constitution, the porous core 6 and a cylindrical filter material 7 made of activated carbon fibers are held by a pair of the first and second plate bodies 8, 9 opposed to each other in the cylinder axis direction thereof.
