PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool for wires for welding that is or an easily reusable metal and is easily and inexpensively manufacturable or press-formable. SOLUTION: A metal plate with protruded claws 12 on both sides is press- stamped out and is bent into a cylindrical barrel part 11. Flanges 13 are formed b press-bending, each having a bearing portion 14 in the center and tongue pieces 15 defined by slits 18 are bent at places that are about a peripheral fringe of the bearing portion 14 and correspond to the claws 12. The barrel part 11 and the flanges 13 are joined together, with the claws 12 being fitted in the slits 18 and caulked against them.
