PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable decomposition conditions by supplying an organohalogen compound and others efficiently and stably. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, a gas containing an organohalogen compound is irradiated with microwaves to produce thermal plasma, in which the compound is decomposed. A mist separator for separating/removing oil components mixed with the compound is installed downstream from a cylinder 28 in which the compound is stored to prevent the fouling of piping and the generation of by-products. The cylinder 28 is immersed in hot water in a temperature- controlled tank 71, the temperature of saturated vapor 74 in the cylinder 28 is kept constant to make the discharge pressure constant, the variation of the volume flow rate of the compound is controlled, and the plasma is stabilized continually for a long period. |
