PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recorder having a plurality of recording heads for ejecting ink while mixing in which reliability is enhanced by switching the mixing ratio of ink for every scan and suppressing fluctuation in the density of ink thereby simplifying the ink density control circuit and reducing the cost thereof. SOLUTION: Based on an image data delivered from a host computer 21, a main controller 22 recognizes a print mode and determines the number of scanning times for a same region. The main controller 22 drives a mixing/ ejecting driver 27 and a mixing valve driver 28 and sets a specified scan mixing ratio in the mixing chamber of a recording head 1. Printing is carried out by driving an ejection driver 26 according to a specified data while driving a carriage motor 4 for scanning. Subsequently, the main controller 22 sets a different scan mixing ratio in the mixing chamber and drives a feed motor 9 to move a recording material before starting second time scanning for printing. |
