PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly send a recording paper of a printing unit to a printing position and improve a printing quality by sending the recording paper more than a feed amount corresponding to the printing unit to the printing position and returning the recording paper by a difference of the send amount whereby the recording paper is sent and the amount corresponding to the printing unit thereafter. SOLUTION: A recording paper 200 is held between a pinch roll 18 and a driving wheel 16 moved to approach a base member by an urging means and, sent along on the base member 10 through the rotation of the driving wheel 16 in a B direction. A rotation amount of the driving wheel 16 is set to a feed amount of the recording paper 200 which is a sum of one band, a movement range of a platen 20 and a design allowance. Therefore, the recording paper moves in a sub scanning direction by a sum of the movement range of the platen 20 and the design allowance, resulting in a deviation of a printing area Pn from a printing position S. Then, the driving wheel 16 is rotated in a B' direction to return the recording paper 200 by the sum of the movement range of the platen 20 and design allowance, so that the printing area Pn is agreed with the printing position S.
