PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expose a joint fitting to a minimum by hiding it with a column or a beam. SOLUTION: The end of one beam 2 out of two horizontally arranged wood beams 2, 3 arranged at a right angle is formed in stepped shape with an upper part projected with respect to a lower part. A connecting fitting 25 disposed at the end of the beam 2 comprises a plate part fixed to the upper part, a load receiving part extending in a right-angled direction from the plate part toward the other horizontally arranged wood beam 3, and a claw integrally formed at the load receiving part and tapered toward the horizontally arranged wood beam 3. A first groove part 33 large enough to enclose the plate part is formed at the side face part of the other horizontally arranged wood beam 3, and a second groove part 34 large enough to enclose the load receiving part is formed at the upper face part to dispose the plate part in the first groove part 33 and the load receiving part in the second groove part 34. In association with this disposition, the claw draws both horizontally arranged wood beams 2, 3 to each other, and the stepped part is placed at the bottom face part of the first groove part 33 to become a second load receiving part.
