PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically recover cut gate wastes without scattering and spending time. SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for cutting and recovering gate wastes G projected from a plastic product main body W is provided and a cutter 30 for cutting the gate wastes G at their roots, the first storing part 40 which can store the gate wastes G when they are cut, the second storing part 50 provided by adjoining the first storing part 40, the first door opening and closing means for opening and closing a transferring opening for communicating the first storing part 40 with the second storing part 50, the second door opening and closing means for opening and closing a discharging opening provided on the second storing part 50 and a revolving means for integrally inverting the cutter 30, the first storing part 40 and the second storing part 50 are provided.
