POLYGONAL ORGANIC SILICON COMPOUND HAVING ORGANIC FLUORINE GROUP AND REACTIVE FUNCTIONAL GROUP, ITS PRODUCTION, AND ITS FILM FORMING MATERIAL AND FORMED FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound having excellent adhesiveness with a base material, exhibiting water repellent and oil repellent properties, capable of forming a film having large hardness and being stably preserved in a solution state and useful as a film-forming material, in an organic silicon compound of a cage-type polygonal structure having an organic fluorine group and a reactive functional group. SOLUTION: This compound is expressed by the formula: [Rf-X1-(CH2)a- SiO1.5]m[R-(CH2)b-SiO1.5]z or the formula: [Rf-X1-(CH2)a-SiO1.5]m[R-X2-(CH2)b-SiO1.5]z (Rf is a 1-16C perfluoroalkyl; R is a reactive functional group; X1 and X2 are each bifunctional bonding group; (a) and (b) are each 1-10; (m) and (z) are each 1-19 and (m+z) is 4-20), e.g. [C4F9-SO2N(C3H7)-(CH2)3-SiO1.5]9[CH2(O)CHCH2O-(CH2)3-SiO1.5]1. The compound of the formula is obtained by reacting two kinds of three-functional-type silicon compound of the formula: Rf-X1-(CH2)a-Si(Y)3 (Y is a 1-5C alkoxy or the like) with the formula: R-(CH2)b-Si(Y)3 in a solvent such as methanol in the presence of a basic compound such as KOH at a temp. of 50-120 deg.C for 1-72 h.
