METHOD OF POSITIONING PATIENT FOR OPEN MAGNET TYPE MRI APPARATUS AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for positioning a patient to be used in an open magnet type MRI apparatus having a movable bed for a patient in order to precisely position a desired scanning area for a patient within a field of vision(FOV) by moving a patient. SOLUTION: A first light source for positioning is placed on the periphery of an upper magnet structure of an open type MRI apparatus so as to radiate a light beam aligning in a direction of the central point of FOV to the longer side. A second light source for positioning is placed so as to indicate the internal standard point of EOV radiating a second light beam from the upper magnet structure in the lower direction. The second light source for positioning is then used to position again a patient in the open magnet type MRI apparatus without drawing the patient from the apparatus.
