At a predetermined time, the computer (1) initiates a phone call between the first two people (2, 3) in the group. The first two people check on each others well-being and hang-up. The computer then sets up a call between the second person (3) and the next in the group. The sequence of calls continues until all members have received a call. If any member reports a problem, or fails to answer the phone, an assistance program is started via the computer.
