PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily clean medical implements by rubbing these medical implements with a melamine resin foam wetted with water and alcohol. SOLUTION: The melamine resin foam of about P kg/m2 in a bulk specific gravity having dense closed cells is cut to a rectangular parallelpiped of 2 cm×4 cm×3 cm. The cut foam is wetted with the water and the alcohol, is wrung and is used to rub a denture. The melamine resin foam is wetted with a 70% ethanol solution, is lightly wrung and is used to rub a nasopharyngoscope. Further, the melamine resin foam is wetted with the water, is lightly wrung and is used to rub a spectacle lenses. As a result, the surfaces of the medical implements, such as medical inspection appliances, may be easily and completely cleaned.
