PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the convenience of daily check by providing a means for prohibiting the automatic stop of an internal combustion engine without providing any special switch, in a vehicle having an automatic stopping means of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In a hybrid vehicle, having an engine 10, a motor 20, a torque converter 30, and a transmission 100, the warming state of the engine 10 is sufficient in the stop of a vehicle, and the engine 10 is automatically stopped under the specified conditions, in which the remaining capacity of a battery 50 is sufficient. If start signals are twice successively detected from an ignition switch, or if it is detected that an accelerator pedal 85 is twice continuously full opened, the automatic stop of the engine 10 is prohibited, even if the specified conditions are established.
