PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apartment house in which a land is utilized effectively and the same living form as a detached house with a garden can be provided to a resident. SOLUTION: The two-layer apartment houses A, B in which dwelling units are arranged to first layer sections (basements 2a, 2b and the first floors 1a, 1b) and second layer sections (the second layers 3a, 3b and the third layers 4a, 4b) respectively are constituted in such a manner that the sunshine-side fronts of the dwelling units of the first layer sections are used as exclusive gardens (kitchen gardens) 5a, 5b for the dwelling units of the first layer sections and the roof floor sections of the dwelling units of the second layer sections are used as exclusive roof-floor balconies (kitchen gardens) 6a, 6b for the dwelling units of the second layer sections.
